WE SUPPORT AND ENCOURAGE NICET CERTIFICATION

Our Mission

Provide California employers with a permanent market for workers' compensation insurance protection at cost with no financial obligation to the public.

Compete fairly with other insurers and, by example, set the standard for fair premium rates, financial integrity, excellence in customer service, and impartial treatment of injured workers.

Assist employers in providing safe places to work. When a worker is injured, help restore that person to a useful place in the economy.

ASFE members are professional firms that provide "earth engineering" and related applied science services, such as: geotechnical, environmental, and civil engineering; geology, biology, ecology, and archeology; infrastructure security; brownfields revitalization; construction and program management; and construction materials engineering and testing.

CGEA gets frequent calls asking us to locate specific engineers or geologists who have signed reports in the past. Unfortunately, we do not know every engineer or geologist employed by our member firms. However, the two web sites listed below may provide the information for which you are looking. Go to the appropriate site and search under "license lookup". If the site doesn't provide the information you want, you can always call either Board for more information.

The G-I is an organization of over 9,500 dedicated individual scientists, engineers, and technologists, and over 29 member organizations who have technical interests in soil, rock, and the fluids they contain. G-I members share a common goal of the application of those interests to the improvement of the environment, the mitigation of natural hazards, and the economical construction of engineered facilities. The G-I serves as the United States of American member society of the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE).
