Presented by: Joaquin Wright/TDA Specialist for GHD Inc.

September 12, 2017
TAPS Fish House & Brewery
13390 Jamboree Rd.
Irvine, CA 92602

Event Description

The presentation will begin with a short video introduction of Tire Derived Aggregate (TDA) uses in California.  The video includes short interviews with professionals who have utilized TDA, including the Director of Caltrans. The video also gives the viewers a broad overview of the types of applications that have been used in California.

Joaquin Wright, A TDA use specialist, will then present case study summaries of civil engineering projects using TDA.  The case studies include road slide repair, embankment and infiltration gallery projects.

Following the case studies he will show another short video outlining some of the research efforts sponsored by CalRecycle to broaden the understanding of TDA use as it relates to water quality, and seismic response.

Mr. Wright will then present the current TDA Grant Program, how to apply, and what benefits it can bring to a civil engineering project.

The presentation will end with a question and answer period for all the topics presented.
